Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

This role focuses on providing expert support to individuals with injuries or illnesses, enabling them to return to work and reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will have a professional background in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling, with a strong understanding of clinical knowledge and its application in improving return-to-work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct case management with manageable caseloads, receiving support from experienced colleagues as needed
  • Apply advanced clinical skills to develop and implement effective injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Collaborate closely with injured workers, employers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to achieve return-to-work goals
  • Work across various schemes, including workers' compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, and employer-funded programs
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational evaluations

Qualifications and Requirements:

The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling, and be registered with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligible for Associate or Full membership with ASORC. Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly desirable.
