Job Opportunity

Are you an experienced merchandise planning professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Merchandise Planner.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to work in a rapidly growing company. As a Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for managing key markets and driving growth through analytical and data-driven approaches.

  1. Collaborate with the merchandise planning team to deliver trading actions and align business financial plans.
  2. Work with senior stakeholders to create budget plans and re-forecast.
  3. Develop product strategies to drive business growth and ensure optimal stock levels.
  4. Provide weekly summaries of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility and the wider business.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the correct balance of newness, repeat business, width, depth, pricing architecture, colour, and category mix is planned. This includes building a balanced option plan to deliver the brand strategy and taking into account three key markets.

  • Scenario modelling for key events to determine sales potential.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as required by the business.
  • Develop short-term and long-term category strategies with the buyer to maximise business trade.
  • Maintain a clear 'as-you-go' strategy to keep stock efficient.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Merchandise Planning role.
  • Experience in E-commerce is essential.
  • Experience with planning software is preferred.
  • Experience within a fashion retailer is preferred.

Desirable qualifications include a tertiary qualification with an emphasis in Retail, Business, or Finance. You will also need strong collaboration and teamwork focus, good organisational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and self-manage, initiative in identifying opportunities, aptitude for numbers, attention to detail, resourcefulness in finding solutions, and ability to understand and use systems.
