Job Description: Senior Compositor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Compositor to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our visual effects team, you will combine live action and computer generated elements into visual effects shots that realise the vision and creative direction of the client and Visual Effects Supervisor.

You will work closely with the Compositing Supervisor and VFX Supervisor to evaluate your approach for assigned shots, creating high quality complete shots that maintain the overall look, colour balance, and quality for assigned shots and sequences.

  • Create seamless visual effects shots by combining live action and computer generated elements.
  • Evaluate your approach for assigned shots and provide feedback to other members of the production.
  • Work as part of a team to determine various aesthetic solutions and attend dailies on a regular basis.
  • Mentor Apprentice/Jr. Artists and assist them with their shots.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be a contributing member of our team, you will have:

  • A degree in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design or Photography.
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in feature film compositing.
  • A proven ability through a showreel of your compositing skills.
  • Fluent Nuke skills and Python/C++ experience is a plus.
  • An ability to write Nuke gizmos is a plus.
