Gantry Crane Technician – Electrical Specialist

**Job Purpose:**


As a key member of the Apex Crane team, the Gantry Crane Technician – Electrical will be responsible for carrying out periodic inspections and services to the gantry crane, including mechanical and electrical aspects. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues and support customers' lifting operations.


**Key Responsibilities:**


  1. Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on overhead cranes and lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  2. Develop and modify electrical panels and circuits as needed to meet the requirements of the gantry crane system.
  3. Install, commission, and test completed projects, overseeing electrical work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  4. Troubleshoot technical issues and exhibit problem-solving abilities to resolve complex problems efficiently.
  5. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of work quality and adhering to safety protocols.
  6. Be available for overtime work and travel to customer sites as required to support the team's objectives.
  7. Maintain a strong emphasis on safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for all team members.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**


  1. 5+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role within the crane industry, with a strong focus on electrical systems.
  2. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a strong technical background, including knowledge of electrical circuits and panel design.
  3. Holds a High-Risk Card/OHS EWP License and is committed to maintaining a safe working environment.
  4. Effective troubleshooting skills and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  6. Current Australian driver's license and a commitment to flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
  7. Commitment to safety protocols and promoting a safe work environment, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
