Job Title: Repairs & Maintenance Operative (Childcare)

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform general handyman/maintenance tasks including repairs, maintenance, building works, painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, etc.
  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance to a high standard on childcare centres.
  • Provide material quotes for larger project works.
  • Supervise specialist sub-contractors on site when applicable.
  • Prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Travel occasionally to regional areas for work.
  • Have experience in property maintenance and manual/physical work.
  • Have excellent knowledge of WHS and risk management.
  • Be self-motivated, punctual and proactive with excellent communication and technology skills.
  • Be able to plan and manage their own schedule.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in executing and overseeing comprehensive repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.
  • Full Driver's Licence.
  • Tools of the trade.

Desirable Experience:

  • General Contractor Licence.
  • Experience working in childcare environments.
  • Qualifications or experience in various trades.
