Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional psychological services to clients, their families, and coordinators.

  • Engage with a diverse clientele.
  • Collaborate with various health professionals to manage client care effectively.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients, considering various factors influencing their conditions.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses utilizing DSM-5 and relevant psychometric tools.
  • Perform cognitive assessments and prepare detailed reports.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT and ACT.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans to address the complex needs of clients, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder and behavioral challenges.
  • Provide skilled counseling, focusing on brief interventions while accommodating some long-term clients.
  • Participate in both individual and group supervision sessions.
  • Offer referrals to additional services as necessary to meet client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case notes in compliance with guidelines.
  • Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards set by the relevant professional body.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must reside in Australia and possess full working rights.
  • Degree in psychology and registration with the relevant professional board.
  • Experience in providing psychological consultations independently.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Interest in pediatric psychology, particularly with developmental delays and autism, is advantageous.
