Job Title: HVAC Estimator – Major Projects

Are you an experienced Estimator looking to take on a challenging role with an industry leader? Our client, a top-tier mechanical contractor, is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret tender specifications to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Assess and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Perform accurate and efficient data entry for estimates and costings.
  • Carry out duct, pipe, and lagging takeoffs to ensure precise internal measures and costs.
  • Complete schedules and prepare tender supporting documents for conforming bids.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating Team to present final cost estimates to management in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate pricing to meet client expectations.
  • Maintain and develop strong connections with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal teams.
  • Work efficiently to meet critical project deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience estimating mechanical service contracts in the Australian market.
  • Industry Focus: Experience in Data Centres, Major Commercial, or Hospital projects is highly regarded.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in duct, pipe, and lagging takeoffs and confident in using estimating software.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
