- Review Tender Documents: Analyze and interpret tender specifications to ensure accurate pricing.
- Evaluate Cost Estimates: Assess and compare quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Supplier Liaison: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Data Entry: Perform accurate and efficient data entry for estimates and costings.
- Takeoffs: Where necessary, carry out duct, pipe, and lagging takeoffs to ensure precise internal measures and costs.
- Documentation: Complete schedules and prepare tender supporting documents for conforming bids.
- Collaborate with the Estimating Team: Work together to present final cost estimates to management in an organized and timely manner.
- Client Satisfaction: Ensure accurate pricing to meet client expectations.
- Relationship Building: Maintain and develop strong connections with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal teams.
- Deadline Management: Work efficiently to meet critical project deadlines.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience estimating mechanical service contracts in the Australian market.
- Industry Focus: Experience in Data Centres, Major Commercial, or Hospital projects is highly regarded.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in duct, pipe, and lagging takeoffs and confident in using estimating software.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
