Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee and be a key point of contact for our remote Rail Maintenance Supervisors across Victoria and NSW depots. This position plays a critical part in meeting customer requirements while upholding the company's core values.

About the Role:

This key position involves managing and coordinating with remote teams on all aspects of maintenance works, ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and resource allocations.

  • Manage remote Rail Maintenance Supervisors and their teams, overseeing project scope, compliance, quality, resources, and timelines.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing support and responding to inquiries.
  • Develop project plans, labour budgets, key performance indicators, and critical milestones, reporting success and outcomes.
  • Deliver regular progress updates on projects, summarizing achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare tender submissions, establish new field service facilities and vehicles, and ensure they meet required standards.
  • Coordinate scheduling with remote supervisors, allocate tasks to technicians, manage team rosters, and report issues to management and customers.
  • Travel to various maintenance depots within VIC and NSW as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years' experience in rail maintenance or a senior role outside the industry; effective communication skills; quality-focused attitude; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; current Victorian Driver's License; National Police Check; ability to pass Rail Industry medical checks; willingness to travel to different locations.
