About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our site reliability team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and performance of our applications, which are used by millions of customers.

As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues. You will also participate in key initiatives to improve our platform's capability, standards, and risk profile.

We are looking for a passionate and driven individual who is eager to share their knowledge and expertise with the team. You will have extensive experience in developing public Web Applications and APIs, as well as excellent debugging skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  3. Participate in key initiatives to improve platform capability, standards, and risk profile
  4. Develop public Web Applications and APIs using modern software engineering practices
  5. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with the following qualifications:

  1. Extensive experience in developing public Web Applications and APIs
  2. Excellent debugging skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
  3. Experience with cloud infrastructure on AWS
  4. Knowledge of modern software engineering practices
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills
