Project Director

The primary objective of a Project Director is to oversee the daily delivery of high-quality and on-time construction projects. This encompasses managing concurrent projects, ensuring they are completed to documented specifications and nominated timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing comprehensive project schedules and communicating with team members
  • Ensuring adherence to construction programmes and delivering on project quality
  • Identifying and mitigating construction risks through all projects, escalating issues when required
  • Managing project expenditure and cash flow effectively
  • Leadership in external engineering design aspects of projects
  • Strategic planning for project resources
  • Effective management of subcontractors on site
  • Maintenance of HSEQ requirements on the project
  • Production of regular progress reports
  • Client satisfaction through meeting expectations

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in delivering projects from start to finish with a builder/head contractor
  • Proven leadership ability in motivating teams
  • Detailed knowledge of local regulations and standards
  • Strong financial reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
