Clinical Research Officer Position

At Sydney Local Health District, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Research Officer to join our research team within the Surgical Outcomes Research Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating data management, and reporting of concurrent research projects related to a funded body of work. This will include assisting in the development and implementation of research protocols, ethics and governance submission, project management, consumer engagement, patient recruitment, data collection, patient follow up, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and report writing.

The Clinical Research Officer will utilize their knowledge of clinical and health services research in the establishment and maintenance of productive working relationships with internal and external collaborators, departments, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning, implementation, coordination, data management, and reporting of concurrent research projects.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A health-related degree and/or experience in research, clinical trials or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in a range of computer applications including Microsoft Office, medical electronic databases (e.g., Medline, PubMed, Embase), REDCap, and research software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, EndNote, Nvivo).
