Clinical Research Coordinator/ Pharmacist

Location: Wahroonga, Epping & Parramatta, NSW

Employment Type: Full-time/ Part-time (on-site)

Sydney Pain Management Centre (SPMC) and Cognivus Research Group are leading organisations in pain medicine and clinical research. Based primarily at our Wahroonga site,, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals living with pain by delivering innovative therapies, conducting world-class clinical trials, and providing exceptional patient care.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Clinical Research Pharmacist / Research Coordinator to join our growing research team. This hybrid role combines pharmacy responsibilities (particularly Investigational Medicinal Product [IMP] management) with clinical trial coordination tasks, making it an exciting opportunity for someone looking to broaden their skills in clinical research.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee IMP management including storage, accountability, and dispensing (if pharmacist-registered)

Maintain effective and ongoing communication with research team, specialists, general practitioners (GPs), and external stakeholders to support trial success

Coordinate clinical trials in line with study protocols, GCP, and regulatory requirements

Support patient recruitment, screening, and informed consent processes

Collect, record, and maintain accurate study data

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth trial operations

Assist with ethics submissions, documentation, and compliance activities

Build and maintain effective communication with specialists, general practitioners (GPs), and external stakeholders to support patient referrals and trial success

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or related field

Pharmacy registration highly desirable (nursing background a plus)

Previous clinical research or trial coordination experience preferred

Strong organisational, Proactiveness and communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a team

Newly graduated pharmacists or health professionals with interest in research are welcome to apply
