
Senior Technical Support Specialist

This senior technical support specialist role is designed to own, troubleshoot and resolve complex customer technical issues with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Windows System Administration, Configuration, including registry management, Windows Activation, Windows Setup and Upgrade, Windows Update, and Windows Security (TPM, BitLocker, MBAM, WDAC).
Desirable skills include experience in managing Windows Update for Business, compliance/deferral policies, Windows Setup & Upgrade scenarios, Activation processes, BitLocker encryption and TPM management, Defender Application Control and Smart App Control, OS deployment tools and methodologies (e.g., MDT, SCCM, Autopilot).
A strong background in networking fundamentals relevant to Windows servicing and deployment is also essential. This position requires shift flexibility based on business needs.
Responsibilities:- Own, investigate, and solve complex customer technical issues; advise customers and collaborate within and across teams using troubleshooting tools and practices.
- Lead in building communities with peer delivery roles and share knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching and mentoring of others.
- Deepen technical and professional proficiency to enable resolution of complex issues through training and readiness.
- Engage with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams to investigate potential product defects and help develop automation techniques and diagnostic tools driving product improvements.
The role requires the candidate to be an Australian Citizen located in Australia.
5+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
