Job Opportunity

The State Manager position requires a seasoned leader to drive operational excellence, customer service, and commercial growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and experience in logistics or 3PL.

About the Role

The State Manager will oversee operations across multiple sites, managing a workforce of 160+ and taking full P&L responsibility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Leadership: Managing budgets, understanding cost-to-serve, and building Excel models.
  • Operational Excellence: Driving safe and efficient transport and warehousing operations.
  • Safety & Culture First: Embedding a safety-first and people-first culture, inspiring direct reports, and building team capability.
  • Customer Engagement: Taking accountability for service delivery and supporting business development through commercial modelling and relationship building.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying inefficiencies, modernising manual processes, and leading change initiatives.
  • Growth Focus: Expanding the external customer base, supported by industry networks and commercial drive.
  • Automation Transition: Supporting Project Apollo (ASRS & AGV implementation).
  • People Leadership: Coaching and supporting the team and fostering succession planning.
