At the Australian Services Union, we are seeking skilled professionals to join our Member Engagement team.

This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working as part of a small team and have strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate confidently with union staff, members and stakeholders, undertaking persuasive conversations and providing administrative and industrial support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with union staff, members and stakeholders
  • Undertake persuasive conversations to engage members and promote the union's values
  • Provide administrative and industrial support to members
  • Respond to inbound member and non-member queries in a timely manner

Key Requirements:

  • Support the union's values and strategies
  • Maintain accurate records in a timely manner
  • Communicate with colleagues, members and potential members in a professional and friendly manner
  • Remain composed when helping members who may be in a distressed or agitated state
