Corporate Banking Specialist

We are seeking an experienced banking professional to join our Australian Corporate Banking team in Sydney or Melbourne. This role offers an opportunity to develop and grow relationships with key corporate clients, drive strategic dialogue, deliver comprehensive banking solutions, and contribute to the success of our business.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned banking professional with a deep understanding of corporate finance, transaction banking, and capital markets products. They will originate new business, cross-sell our extensive product suite, ensure exceptional client relationship management, and adhere to all credit, regulatory, and internal compliance standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Relationship Management

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key corporate clients
    • Manage and deepen long-term relationships with C-suite executives and senior management
    • Understand client strategic objectives, financial needs, and industry challenges
    • Achieve financial objectives by leveraging our full spectrum of products and services
  • Business Development & Origination

    • Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell our product solutions across Banking, Markets, and Treasury and Trade Solutions
    • Collaborate with product partners and global teams to deliver integrated solutions to our clients
    • Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of complex transactions and financings
    • Identify and pursue new client relationships where we are uniquely positioned to meet their banking needs
  • Credit & Risk Management

    • Actively manage credit exposure and associated risks within the client portfolio
    • Allocate capital prudently and in accordance with our overall shareholder return objectives
    • Ensure compliance with our credit policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Market & Industry Knowledge

    • Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and the competitive landscape
    • Provide insights and thought leadership to clients on relevant financial, economic, and industry topics
  • Leadership and Team Collaboration

    • Foster a collaborative environment with product partners, risk management, and global teams
    • Act as a mentor and leader to our junior team members
    • Contribute to the overall strategic direction, culture, and success of our Corporate Bank in Australia
