About the Role:

We are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to lead engaging programs that bring joy, inclusion, and wellbeing to older adults. You will connect with local networks and internal teams to grow participation, expand our volunteer base, and make every interaction count.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver inclusive social connection and engagement programs to enhance customer wellbeing.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH TEAMS, CUSTOMERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS.
  • Champion community outreach to promote Suncare locally and grow awareness, attract customers, and recruit volunteers.
  • Drive participation in programs and boost usage of Suncare's facilities.
  • Manage logistics, including transport, venues, and staffing, to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Ensure quality and safety by conducting risk assessments and upholding safety and compliance standards.
  • SUPPORT AND LEAD TEAMS, GUIDING SUPPORT WORKERS AND VOLUNTEERS THROUGH TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT.
  • Listen and improve by using customer feedback to enhance service and program quality.

About You:

You should be someone who brings creativity, empathy, and practical know-how to every interaction. With a strong sense of purpose and a genuine interest in supporting older adults, you can turn ideas into engaging, inclusive programs that make a real impact.

You will need:

  • A relevant qualification (Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle) or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in aged care or disability services, ideally in a Lifestyle or Activities Coordinator role.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse communities.
  • Solid organisational and computer literacy skills, plus experience leading and supporting teams.
  • Local Rockhampton knowledge and community connections.
