ORS is seeking skilled psychologists who are passionate about helping workers return to work after illness or injury.
- As a rehabilitation specialist, you will provide specialist psychological recovery and rehabilitation services to workers with psychological illness or injuries.
You will administer evidence-based psychological assessments of workers' strengths as well as their perceived obstacles to returning to work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialist psychological recovery and rehabilitation services to workers/employees with psychological illness or injuries.
- Administering evidence-based psychological assessments of workers' strengths as well as their perceived obstacles to returning to work.
- Establishing new interventions such as forming a rehabilitation alliance, motivational interviewing for resolving ambivalence, assessing jobs and workplaces, reviewing and redesigning job demands, mediation, and measuring productivity.
- Supporting a manageable caseload of workers for whose outcomes you are primarily responsible.
- Providing discipline specific services, i.e. psychological functional assessments, to other workers when appropriate.
- Working within an experienced multidisciplinary team of similarly passionate professionals facilitating return to work across several contracts utilising psychological skills to maximise return to work goal attainments.
- Overseeing and coordinating workers' health treatment to ensure it is evidence-based and supports timely return to work or better productivity.
- Becoming known as a trusted psychological service provider, highly effective, and always available and willing to communicate appropriately with other key stakeholders.
- Fully funded Primary & Secondary Supervision for Provisional Psychologists.
- Flexible working arrangements aligned to your lifestyle, including options for working from home, 9 day fortnights and part-time roles.
- Autonomy over your calendar with client appointments allocated near your location.
- Suburban office locations with free onsite or local parking.
- A tailored six-month Graduate Program offering mentoring, training, and reduced caseloads for new graduates.
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, with Provisional or General Registration with AHPRA.
- Have a vehicle and a current driver's licence.
- Willing to obtain or already hold a National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Vulnerable People Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance for client-facing roles.
