The Team Leader Payments role is a critical position within the organization, responsible for overseeing the processing and payment of workers compensation claims. This includes ensuring accuracy and timeliness in these processes.
About the Role- This individual will lead and supervise a team of Payment/Claims Support Officers to guarantee compliance with workers compensation legislation, policies, and internal procedures.
- The successful candidate will provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members; allocate workloads and manage leave to ensure consistent team coverage.
- Audits will be performed regularly to confirm payments are accurate and justified; any discrepancies or errors in payment processing will need to be investigated.
- Collaboration with case managers, insurers, and finance teams is essential to resolve payment issues.
- Reports will be generated and reviewed on payment volumes, turnaround times, and error rates.
- Experience in processing workers compensation payments or claims is crucial.
- A solid understanding of workers compensation laws and policies is necessary.
- Prior experience leading or supervising a team is vital.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills are required.
- The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines is essential.
- Reviewing payment accuracy and resolving issues is a key responsibility.
