Job Title: Library Team Leader

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our library team as a Library Team Leader. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving team performance, fostering a positive workplace culture and delivering exceptional service to our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of library staff, overseeing their daily operations and managing the library's collection to meet the needs of the local community.
  • Implement workforce management initiatives to support your team, providing expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and regional partners to ensure the library's services meet the needs of the community.
  • Maintain the library's facility and venue, contributing to the review of library processes and services and preparing business plans and reports on service outcomes.

You will be an experienced leader with a passion for public libraries and a strong grasp of operational excellence. You will be ready to lead with purpose and create a space that is welcoming, innovative and community focused.

To Be Successful In This Role:
  • Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with your team and local stakeholders to foster positive customer experiences.
  • Apply expertise in process improvement to enhance library operations, while maintaining high standards of presentation and facility care.
  • Hold a valid Working with Children Blue Card, or be eligible and willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
