
Disciplinary Management Specialist

The Principal Disciplinary Officer is responsible for undertaking assessments and preparing high-quality documentation in line with legislative requirements to initiate proceedings, assess submissions, recommend outcomes, and make determinations.
Key Responsibilities:- Reviewing briefs of evidence and submissions to make recommendations for disciplinary action.
- Preparing and reviewing Notices to Show Cause and Decisions about whether to take disciplinary action.
- Providing instructions to legal officers and counsel in matters that are appealed to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (and other courts and tribunals), including reviewing section 58 documents, written submissions, and other relevant evidence.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including investigators, inspectors, legal officers, counsel, and the executive.
- Supervising and managing a small team.
- Relevant qualifications in law or policy and/or relevant experience in regulatory or statutory environments.
- Sound understanding of investigation strategies, including the rules of evidence, and procedural fairness.
- High-level analytical, organisational, and written communication skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions.
