VMware Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware Infrastructure Specialist to join our onsite IT team. This role is essential for supporting and optimizing the virtual infrastructure that underpins our critical business operations.
- Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines.
- Configure and maintain high availability, DRS clusters, and resource pools.
- Conduct performance tuning, system optimization, and capacity planning.
- Manage virtual machine lifecycle tasks including provisioning, snapshots, templates, and cloning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using vRealize, SolarWinds, or similar tools.
- Integrate VMware platforms with storage and network configurations.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes, and change management records.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and managing VMware environments, as well as configuring and maintaining high availability and DRS clusters.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere and its components.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing virtual infrastructure solutions.
- Ability to configure and maintain high availability and DRS clusters.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues.
