Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled VMware professional to support and optimize our virtual infrastructure. Our IT Infrastructure team requires a candidate with expertise in designing, implementing, and managing VMware vSphere environments.

This role is essential for ensuring stability, scalability, and high availability of our VMware environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' hands-on experience managing VMware infrastructure. They will be proficient in VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x/8.x, vSAN, and VMware Cloud solutions.

A strong background in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and core networking (DNS/DHCP) is required. Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks is desirable.

  • Design, implement, and manage VMware vSphere environments.
  • Configure and maintain VMware High Availability (HA), DRS clusters, and resource pools.
  • Conduct performance tuning, system optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Manage VM lifecycle tasks including provisioning, snapshots, templates, and cloning.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using vRealize, SolarWinds, or similar tools.
  • Integrate VMware platforms with SAN/NAS storage and virtual network configurations.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.
  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes, and change management records.
Requirements

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher certification is also required.

Experience working within financial services or regulated IT environments is an advantage. Excellent communication and documentation skills are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks is desirable. Proficiency in VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x/8.x, vSAN, and VMware Cloud solutions is required.
