Senior Leadership Role

A strategic position at a local government entity, focused on driving continuous improvement in procurement processes and overseeing the management of property assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team to drive a culture of excellence in procurement, delivering value and impact through efficient and effective practices.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are strategically aligned with organisational objectives, compliant with regulatory requirements, and consistently deliver best-practice outcomes.
  • Manage a portfolio of properties, optimising performance to achieve financial returns and community benefits.
  • Identify opportunities for property disposal, manage the sale process, negotiate leases and licenses, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications and Attributes:
  • A proven leader with extensive experience in procurement, contract management, and property services, ideally within a public sector context.
  • A track record of successfully leading change programs, with strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • The ability to think critically and strategically to navigate complex environments and develop innovative solutions that deliver results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with emotional intelligence and political acumen to operate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
  • A tertiary qualification in business, law, finance, economics, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications in leadership, management, or project management are highly regarded.
