Job Description

MMG Australia is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Rosebery Mine.

As a key member of our HR team, you will provide strategic advice and support to our operations and functional leadership teams to drive business outcomes and improve workforce productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including union representatives and third-party organisations.
  2. Provide operational HR and employee relations advice on matters relating to employment terms and conditions, including employment legislation and industrial instruments/awards.
  3. Coach leaders on change management, culture and communication initiatives to enhance workforce engagement and productivity.
  4. Assist line management with the performance management process, including setting SMART objectives, providing resources, measuring and appraising performance, and case management.
  5. Provide advice and support to managers, supervisors and employees on the key principles of MMG's remuneration system.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, ER, IR or a business-related field (preferred)
  • HR Business Partner experience in a site-based role working in a mining company
  • Experience interpreting and negotiating Enterprise Agreements
  • Experience liaising with Union and other third-party organisations
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills with the ability to lead, influence and motivate teams of professionals
  • High level of conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement strategies and improvements
  • Understanding of the application of Industrial Relations framework and legislation
