Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to oversee the implementation of site safety procedures, monitor progress, and manage staff effectively. The ideal candidate will have a trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction, or Engineering, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor site safety procedures in accordance with the Project Safety Management Plan
  • Monitor progress against the construction program and ensure coordination among trades
  • Manage and coach staff to achieve project and personal goals
  • Oversee, coach, and mentor the Site Supervision team
  • Schedule and coordinate site staff, prioritizing tasks and issues
  • Ensure quality of trade works meets required standards
  • Issue site instructions and correspondence to trade contractors and consultants
  • Liaise with clients to maintain a long-standing relationship
  • Report to senior management on regular basis and advise on current or potential issues
Requirements
  • Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction, or Engineering
  • Current Senior First Aid certification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • High-level ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Well-developed planning skills, including industry knowledge of lead times for delivery and trade works
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and develop teams and individuals
  • Knowledge of construction trades and ability to assess quality of workmanship
