Job Description

We're seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Site Manager to join our Construction team in Brisbane, Australia. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading the implementation of HSE initiatives on site, collaborating with the HSE team to define HSE requirements, and managing site activities to deliver the ETCS L2 project plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of HSE initiatives on site in adherence with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Health Safety & Environment (HSE) team to define HSE requirements for site in accordance with the HSE Management Plan for the project.
  • Manage the site team, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver the ETCS L2 project plan.
  • Co-ordinate all site activities for all technological works, including signalling (civil and electrical) and communications infrastructure construction, to deliver the project delivery plan.
  • Optimise project resources (internal or external, including subcontractors) to achieve project deliverables and milestones, in line with the project deliverables.
  • Develop project metrics to ensure continual improvement and delivery of the program schedule.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience in a similar rail and civil construction leadership role.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Demonstrated competency in legislation and standards relating to Construction and Health & Safety.
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.
  • Extensive site management and team management experience.
  • Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
  • Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment.
  • Demonstrates perseverance, patience, and commitment for long-term success.
