About the Role

HelloFresh Australia is seeking an experienced Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to join our Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on one of the fastest-growing global food technology companies in an exciting growth phase.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years PQE, solid experience with general corporate, regulatory, and commercial legal issues, and private practice and/or in-house experience in e-commerce, FMCG, retail, or similar industries. A fast learner with strong research skills, ability to present findings to various audiences, and a proactive and ambitious approach to work are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Head of Tax & Compliance and lead a range of legal, compliance, and governance projects, developing the local function
  • Manage contract drafting, review, and negotiation in collaboration with procurement and marketing teams
  • Work with various departments across marketing, operations, and management to develop business risk and contract management frameworks
  • Identify, manage, and consult on competition and consumer law matters, including marketing campaigns, packaging, and promotional materials
  • Ensure government reporting and corporate statutory obligations are met
  • Provide guidance on consumer protection, privacy principles, and regulations applying to retail food and logistics industries
Requirements:
  • An Australian law degree with current practicing certificate
  • At least 2-3 years PQE
  • Solid experience with general corporate, regulatory, and commercial legal issues
  • Private practice and/or in-house experience in e-commerce, FMCG, retail, or similar industries
