THE OPPORTUNITY

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Librarian, Grade 1, is responsible for providing reference services that ensure the delivery of relevant, high-quality information tailored to meet the diverse needs of clients from various sectors.

This role contributes to the development, responsive delivery, and evaluation of library and information services that enrich the learning and study experiences of clients. Additionally, it involves the preparation, deployment, and assessment of high-quality library collections and guides to address the information needs of all clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for self-motivated and dedicated professionals who are enthusiastic about library services and possess well-developed information technology skills. A demonstrated commitment to utilizing online resources and communication technologies in an educational context is essential.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a comprehensive understanding of library and information services, systems, procedures, and current trends.

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience. You should have a strong knowledge base and a solid understanding of technology relevant to libraries, maintaining motivation and commitment to achieving positive outcomes even when faced with challenging concepts.

Additionally, you will possess the following qualifications:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in library and information studies and/or eligibility for admission to associate membership of the Australian Library & Information Association.
