**About the role**
We have an opportunity for a **Technical Officer (Grade 2)** to be part of our Wireless Network Group, Technology & Communication Services Command. The technical officer grade 2 provides operational support to policing through technical services, and is responsible for the timely completion of urgent and routine maintenance and repair to communications equipment and in vehicle electonics. Typical installation and maintenance activities occur in vehicles, motorbikes, boats, buildings and dedicated radio sites.
This job may be of interest to qualified persons who live in locations between Coffs Harbour and Yamba. The qualified person will be required to work a 4 day working week with On Call required one week per month. Some NSWPF projects require overnight and travel for up to 4 nights on occasion (this normally occurs once or twice a year).
Essential requirements include:
- Hold a current driver’s licence with no traffic offences recorded on their driving history within the last six (6) months.
- Possession of AUR30316 Certificate 111 in Automotive Electrical Technology.
- Ability to undertake training to work at heights on radio towers and structures exceeding 30 metres in height.
