Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to lead and manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process. This role is critical in maintaining healthy cash flow, strengthening client relationships, and improving our working capital position.

About the Position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will oversee and manage the accurate and timely processing of invoices and receipts, and the effective collection of outstanding debts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and reconciliation of customer accounts
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to support prompt collections
  • Monitoring aged debt and implementing effective collection strategies
  • Working closely with internal departments (sales, operations, legal) to resolve billing issues
  • Managing credit risk by assessing customer creditworthiness and setting credit limits
  • Preparing regular AR and cash flow reports for senior management
  • Implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in an accounts receivable or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced or technology-driven environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships internally and externally
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero, MYOB, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and credit control practices
