Contracts Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Contracts Administrator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in contract management and administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft scopes of works and tender packages for projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct investigations with subcontractors to clarify contract conditions and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Lead and Package Lead in negotiating contract departures and ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of all subcontractors and their associated costs.
  • Participate in the identification and quantification of Head Contracts, working closely with the project team to ensure effective risk management.
  • Manage subcontractors to maintain Code compliance and ensure commercial and contractual risks are regularly assessed.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Commerce.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator, preferably with a Tier 1 Contractor in Australia.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and exposure to contract management software.
  • Understanding of document control and records management procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and codes on the project.
  • Experience in negotiating with sub-contractors.
