Renewable Energy Asset Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to manage our portfolio of renewable energy assets. This role involves the daily management of large-scale solar plants in Australia, ensuring best practices for safety, quality, and environmental performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the renewable energy sector and be able to optimize asset performance while complying with all relevant contractual agreements.

This includes managing a portfolio of up to 5 sites, each with a capacity of approximately 1000MW, maximizing total returns through the analysis of system efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improved performance.

In addition, the successful candidate will establish effective relationships with EPC & O&M contractors to ensure safe asset performance and operation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of the Australian and global renewables market
  • Understanding of key contracts to manage and awareness of critical stakeholders
  • Technical knowledge of large-scale solar and battery assets
  • Strong process orientation and technical IT skills
  • Experience:
  • 5 years' experience in a similar role preferably in the solar market
  • Personal/Work Skills:
  • Team working skills
  • Problem-solving and proactive attitude
  • Detailed-oriented and well-organized
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
  • Education and Qualifications:
  • Degree level in a subject applicable in the renewable industry
