Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer / Sonographer to fill a key role in our team. The ideal candidate will possess dual qualifications in radiography and sonography, with a strong background in a range of imaging modalities.

About the Role

This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting general X-ray, trauma, and mobile imaging procedures.
  • Performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including General, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Limited MSK, Breast, Small Parts, Vascular, and Pediatrics.
  • Utilizing QDoc Booking System for scheduling and managing imaging appointments.
  • Operating and managing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for image storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborating with medical staff to interpret imaging results and support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Providing exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Maintaining and operating imaging equipment following safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Accurately documenting and recording imaging procedures and patient information.
Key Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Dual Radiographer / Sonographer Qualification.
  • Proven experience in general X-ray, trauma, and mobile imaging.
  • Trophon certificate.
  • QLD Radiation License.
  • Experience in a range of ultrasound modalities: General, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Limited MSK, Breast, Small Parts, Vascular, and Pediatrics.
  • Proficiency with QDoc Booking System for Imaging.
  • Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Australian working rights.
  • Updated Australian Immunisation History.
  • National Police Check.
  • Manual and patient handling.
  • Infection control.
  • Aggressive behavior management.
  • Mandatory reporting by Registered Nurses, and/or Midwives for reasonable suspicions of child abuse and neglect.
