About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform General X-ray, Trauma, and Mobile Imaging Procedures: Conduct a range of imaging procedures, including general X-ray, trauma, and mobile imaging, to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Conduct Ultrasound Examinations: Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including general, obstetrics/gynecology, limited MSK, breast, small parts, vascular, and pediatrics, to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Utilize QDoc Booking System: Schedule and manage imaging appointments using the QDoc Booking System, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  • Operate and Manage PACS: Operate and manage the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for image storage and retrieval, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with medical staff.
  • Collaborate with Medical Staff: Work closely with medical staff to interpret imaging results, support patient diagnosis and treatment, and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Provide Exceptional Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures, providing exceptional patient care and support.
  • Maintain and Operate Imaging Equipment: Maintain and operate imaging equipment, following safety protocols and guidelines, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Accurately Document and Record Imaging Procedures: Accurately document and record imaging procedures and patient information, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with medical staff.
Requirements:
  • Dual Radiographer/Sonographer Qualification: Hold dual qualifications in radiography and sonography, with a strong background in a range of imaging modalities.
  • Proven Experience: Have proven experience in general X-ray, trauma, and mobile imaging, as well as a range of ultrasound modalities.
  • Trophon Certificate: Hold a Trophon certificate, demonstrating expertise in radiation safety and management.
  • QLD Radiation License: Hold a QLD radiation license, ensuring compliance with radiation safety regulations.
  • Australian Working Rights: Hold Australian working rights, ensuring eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Updated Australian Immunisation History: Maintain an updated Australian immunisation history, ensuring compliance with vaccination requirements.
  • National Police Check: Hold a national police check, ensuring a clear police history.
  • Manual and Patient Handling: Demonstrate manual and patient handling skills, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Infection Control: Demonstrate infection control skills, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
