About the Role

Mackay Hospital and Health Service is seeking a Trainee Sonographer to join their Medical Imaging Service on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be a student currently enrolled in a sonography qualification, working outside of their academic and clinical placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of clinical support activities and on-the-job skills development while engaged in formal full-time tertiary studies.
  • Contribute to the Medical Imaging service delivery model within the Mackay Base Hospital under the delegation and practice supervision of a Radiographer.
  • Gain pre-registration exposure to the workplace and develop skills in patient care.
About the Team

The Medical Imaging Service is based at the Mackay Base Hospital and provides patient-centered Medical Imaging services, seven days a week. The team is committed to delivering high-quality care and is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Sonographer to join their team.
