Facilities Operations Manager

A proactive and adaptable facilities supervisor is required to support a major client site located in Whyalla, SA.
This role involves approximately 50% practical hands-on work (minor repairs, landscaping, handyman tasks) and the remainder focused on supervising subcontractors, managing safety compliance, and maintaining strong client relationships.
The point of contact for all facilities-related requests will be responsible for:
- Managing subcontractors, including inductions, safety briefings, and supervision.
- Supporting mobilisation of operations, including planned maintenance schedules.
- Overseeing reactive works from start to completion.
- Conducting quality audits of cleaning staff.
- Leading onsite meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Carrying out minor maintenance, landscaping, and handyman tasks.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly, and to a high standard.
Key requirements include 5+ years trade experience with strong hands-on skills, experience supervising subcontractors and trades, solid knowledge of maintenance trades, ability to assess quality of work, a current driver's license, strong client-facing skills, ability to build relationships, and a safety-first mindset and strong problem-solving ability.
