About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled professionals in creating high-quality visual effects for feature films.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure timely delivery of painted and roto elements by effectively managing resources and prioritizing tasks.
  2. Serve as a liaison between production teams, facilitating clear communication and ensuring seamless collaboration.
  3. Support producers, CG supervisors, and production managers with bidding and scheduling, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making.
  4. Attend daily meetings and follow up with the team regarding notes and fixes, driving progress and resolving issues.
  5. Assign shots to appropriate artists based on their expertise and workload, maximizing efficiency and quality.
  6. Provide clear direction and priorities to the team, empowering them to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
  7. Motivate and empower the team to work together towards common goals, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  8. Identify problems and implement effective solutions, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  9. Perform quality control on delivered elements, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  10. Paint and roto complex shots efficiently as needed, leveraging technical expertise and creative vision.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working on feature film VFX projects.
  • Proficiency in Nuke and other industry-standard software.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
