Job Description:


The Regional Development and Community Outreach Coordinator will play a key role in the energy transition in Victoria by supporting the construction and commissioning of a new Solar and Battery Energy Storage System in the Wimmera Region. The role involves operational community engagement responsibilities to support construction activities, aiming to build effective social licence through tailored communication and engagement strategies with local communities and business groups, landholders, Traditional Owner groups and First Nations Peoples.


Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Located in the Wimmera region of Victoria or surrounds with a deep understanding of the local community and economy.
  • A 2-year contract on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week.
  • 5+ years of experience in community and stakeholder engagement, preferably with a focus on projects in construction.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Media or Public Relations, and IAP2 training is advantageous but not essential.
  • A proven track record of designing and delivering community engagement and consultation processes.
  • Experience in developing promotional and communication materials to support engagement, including digital content.
  • Familiarity with working with Traditional Owners.

Salary Range: AU$70,000 - AU$90,000 per annum (dependent on experience), based on market rates for similar roles in regional Victoria.
