Project Financial Manager

Martinus Rail requires an experienced professional to lead project financial management, ensuring effective cost control throughout the Albury to Parkes Railway Project.

This position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent collaboration with operations teams to maintain alignment with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project budgets in coordination with project managers and finance teams.
  • Monitor budget variances and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Work closely with project managers to evaluate change requests and update budgets accordingly.
  • Track and analyse project costs, including expenditures, forecasts, to ensure alignment with project objectives and financial targets.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
  • Review contracts and agreements to ensure adherence to financial terms and conditions.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to project financial management.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including project managers, finance teams, contractors, and clients, to provide regular updates on project financial performance and address any cost-related queries or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management or cost control, preferably within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
