About the Role

We are seeking a Chief Operations Officer to lead the operational effectiveness of our organisation, ensuring the delivery of our Strategic Plan. This role requires a strong leader who can guide the operational team, ensure the overall financial health, stability, and sustainability of Jesuit Social Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the CEO, ensuring the organisation fulfils its mission, and adapts to a complex and changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise integration across programs
  • Develop evidence-based interventions to address gaps in the service system
  • Build strategic relationships with government funders
  • Provide leadership and guidance to all Board Committees

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification/s and/or relevant experience in the field
  • Significant evidence of leadership and people management skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience at senior leadership level in the human services sector
  • Experience in leading and contributing to strategic thinking, policy development, and innovation
  • Superior interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated experience in effective oversight of all aspects of business processes
