Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in the Network Operations & Control Centre (NOCC).

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to the NOCC operational activities for the Public Safety Network (PSN) and Paging Network.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Day-to-Day NOCC Operations and teams
  • End-to-end Emergency/Critical Incident and Jeopardy Management
  • Liaising with Emergency Service Organisations and customers
  • Escalation and Emergency Contact duties
  • Authority to make decisions in relation to Critical Incidents
  • Operational customer meetings
  • Roster Management
  • Support Vendor Manager with Third-Party vendor relationships
  • Management of Incident, Problem, and Change cases
  • Provide Post-Incident Review information and reports
  • Operations Acceptance for NOCC services
  • Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions
  • Report and Manage Risks
  • Create timely reports for stakeholders and senior leaders

Qualifications required:

- Degree-level qualification in Electronic/Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent knowledge

- Ability to analyse complex data

- 5+ years' experience in a Leadership role in Telco or IT Operations

- Strong Leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised

- Ability to articulate a firm direction and communicate effectively

- Proven ability to develop Incident Management processes to reduce repeat faults

- Experience of ISO27001 is desirable
