- We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a busy hotel kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Executive Chef and leadership to the Kitchen team.">
About your responsibilities:

- You will be responsible for developing and writing standard recipe cards, maintaining a comprehensive set of departmental standards and procedures, and overseeing their implementation.">
- Ensuring training needs analysis of kitchen and stewarding staff is carried out and training programs are designed and implemented to meet needs.">
- Maintaining up-to-date staff records and approving leave requests, regularly communicating with staff and maintaining good relations.">
- Providing direction to the Kitchen team, including Commis/Demi chefs, Cooks, Kitchen Attendants and Stewards.">
- Maintaining, promoting and monitoring the food safety program HACCP.">
About you:

- You must have completed a minimum of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant equivalent, along with over two years of chef experience or an equivalent combination of education and culinary experience.">
- You must possess current food safety certification and be fluent in English.">
- You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment preparing and cooking high-quality dishes.">
