Procurement Expert Wanted

We are looking for a highly skilled Procurement Expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about procurement and has a strong track record of success.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the food and beverage industry, as well as experience in managing key categories within a portfolio. They will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.

About the Role

This is a key role within our ANZ Purchasing Team, where you will be responsible for revolutionising the way we source and manage our Food and Beverage portfolios. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category plans, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure seamless collaboration for assured supply, quality, value, innovation, and people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key categories within our Food and Beverage portfolios, staying ahead of industry trends and collaborating with Product Development and Quality Assurance to deliver top-quality ingredients;
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships between McDonald's and our suppliers, negotiating for the best value solutions and ensuring a seamless collaboration for assured supply, quality, value, innovation, and people;
  • Develop and implement category plans in alignment with suppliers and the QA team, engaging in joint strategic plans and conducting formal supplier reviews to enhance our Supply Chain efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years in purchasing, particularly in food and beverage categories, with expertise in Category/Supplier Management;
  • Strong commercial acumen, knowledge of commodity markets (highly advantageous), and the ability to negotiate and influence for optimal business outcomes;
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take the lead in managing categories and responsibilities within a fast-paced team environment;
  • Well-organised with excellent project and time management skills, capable of working under tight deadlines;
  • A team player who can work independently with little supervision yet maintain a positive 'can-do attitude' and provide constructive feedback that adds value to supplier relationships.
