Job Title:

Pivotal Project Director Role for Shared Pathology Service

About the Job:

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the pathology network across two of Victoria's leading health networks and eventual expansion to Western Health.

Job Description:
  • Liaise with the CEO and Pathology Executive Teams to oversee the development and implementation of a Shared Pathology Strategy.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment between Alfred Health and Monash Health, working closely with senior leadership teams.
  • Establish and implement governance structures, stakeholder engagement plans, budgets, risk registers, and strategic project documentation.
  • Renew the service expansion strategy, including partnership agreements with Western Health.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement reform activities that support continuous improvement, inclusivity, and patient-centred care.
  2. Represent the Shared Pathology Service in external forums and liaise with government agencies and contractors.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, risk, and financial management standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

You are a seasoned leader with a strong background in health service delivery and project management. You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business or health discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading complex reform projects within healthcare.
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of contemporary health systems and policy directions.
