About the Role

The Inquiries and System Reform Manager leads a small team of specialists to conduct investigations and improve state systems for vulnerable children and young people. This role involves collecting information, conducting analysis, developing options for reform, formulating recommendations, and writing clear reports.

This position requires managing and leading the Inquiries and System Reform team to deliver outcomes and ensure performance is managed. The manager will also lead staff in preparing timely and high-quality reports, and build relationships with stakeholders to advocate for the rights and wellbeing of children and young people.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Inquiries and System Reform team to achieve desired outcomes and ensure performance metrics are met.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes to undertake inquiries.
  • Ensure quality assurance across the work of the team, guaranteeing reports and documentation meet high standards.
  • Lead and conduct inquiries, including resource allocation and timeline management.
  • Analyse themes and trends in inquiries using internal systems.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
