Systems Reform Leader

As a Manager, Inquiries and Systems Reform, you will lead a small team in conducting mandated child death inquiries, and systemic and individual inquiries initiated by the Commissioner and/or requested by the Minister. The Commission's inquiries focus on improving state systems for vulnerable children and young people, including the child protection system and out-of-home care.
This work involves collecting information and data, including through interviews and other methodologies, conducting analysis of policies, legislation, service provision and systems, developing options for reform, formulating recommendations, and writing clear, succinct and compelling reports. This area also monitors and reports on the implementation of inquiry recommendations.
Key responsibilities include managing and leading the team, ensuring that individual and team responsibilities are clear, performance is managed and outcomes delivered, leading the development, documentation and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure inquiries are undertaken efficiently and effectively, providing quality assurance across the work of the team, ensuring all reports, correspondence and other documentation are delivered to a high standard, and building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have proven people and project management skills. An understanding of inquiries methodology will also be highly regarded.
