Regional Purchasing Leader Job Opportunity

This role is focused on reducing procurement costs, enhancing supplier performance and improving service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop regional procurement strategies to drive growth
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings in regionally sourced goods and services
  • Negotiate and manage supplier agreements
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and develop category expertise
  • Lead cross-functional procurement projects that have a significant impact
  • Oversee supplier performance, quality and customer support
  • Develop new relationships with suppliers and explore alternative sources
  • Align regional procurement practices with national and global strategies
  • Provide guidance and assistance on procurement matters

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement or Operations in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in decision-making
  • Ability to identify opportunities, drive change and navigate complex environments
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Ariba)
  • University degree in engineering or business administration (preferred)
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certification preferred
