Job Description

Our organization seeks an experienced professional to occupy the role of Senior Credit Risk Governance Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of credit risk management, model governance, and data management principles. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust risk management practices across our organization.

This individual will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including credit risk modellers, product risk managers, data and system teams, project teams, independent model validators, regulatory affairs teams, and group risk governance teams to ensure seamless integration of risk management strategies throughout our operations.

The Senior Credit Risk Governance Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks that adhere to industry standards and regulations. This includes ensuring accurate and timely data management practices and enhancing existing model monitoring capabilities.

  • Manage ongoing monitoring of credit risk (retail & non-retail) models to establish and maintain 'best practice' risk management.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to keep up-to-date with recent developments in credit risk management.
  • Ensure core modelling data is managed and maintained to facilitate compliance and meet business requirements.
  • Enhance the existing model monitoring framework by adopting emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient data transition from warehouse to discovery environment to production environment.
  • Track risk issues and resolutions, recommend remedial action required to address marginal or unsatisfactory model performance.

In addition, this specialist will be responsible for delivering data requests and supporting analysis required for external validation purposes.
